Youth Project Worker

Based: Newton Abbot
Fixed Term: Contract to December 2019
Part Time: 0.4 equivalent
Salary: Up to (Pro Rata of) £19,500 per annum 
Hours: for 15 hours per week

Empowering Enterprise 18-24
The following role is for a member of staff who will be working for Eat That Frog CIC to support participants in the Empowering Enterprise 18-24 project.

Do you combine empathy for young people with amazing admin skills? We need a project worker who can help unemployed 18 to 24 yr olds to design and produce project activities to help them progress into work or training.

You’ll have the energy and creativity to help engage participants and then work with them to co-design and co-produce activities to achieve positive outcomes. You’ll have the attention to detail to manage the administration and financial recording for the project, including maintaining petty cash systems and financial controls in line with ESF and company financial regulations.

Based: Plymouth or Torbay
Fixed Term: Contract to December 2019
Part Time: 0.4 equivalent

Salary: Up to (Pro Rata of) £24,000 per annum 
Hours: 15 hours per week

Empowering Enterprise 18-24
The following role is for a member of staff who will be working for Eat That Frog CIC to support participants in the Empowering Enterprise 18-24 project.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic team-player who can provide 1:1 support to young people aged 18 to 24 who are unemployed or economically inactive and may have learning, emotional or behavioural issues. You’ll help them to overcome the barriers and challenges they face and successfully progress into education, training, employment or job search.

You’ll have the ability to work independently and creatively, to identify and engage eligible young people to benefit from the project. You’ll be a positive role model for project participants, with excellent listening and problem-solving skills, and an understanding and empathy with the many causes of youth unemployment and disengagement.

You’ll have good organisational skills to manage your own time and to gather relevant evidence of participant eligibility and project activity, but above all, you will have the ability to make re-engagement in learning both fun and productive.

Customer Services Assistant

Based: Torbay / Newton Abbot
Full Time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm (40 per week)
Salary: Starting from 15,600 – 17,680

Are you a smart, friendly, customer-focused person who can create a welcoming environment for visitors and staff to our training centres?
This role is vital to the operation of our business – you’ll be responsible for creating a great first impression on the phone and in person, as well as supporting learners and colleagues.
You will be able to offer a professional Front of House service as well as having the IT skills, attention to detail and admin experience necessary to support our tutors and back-office staff as necessary.
We have training centres in Torquay, Paignton, Newton Abbot and Plymouth and although you may be primarily based in one centre, you will be called upon to cover other centres as required.

Everything we do is person-centred, so it’s essential to identify how people overcome and manage their barriers in life and learning. We need to be able to demonstrate the good work you do, so good planning and recording learner achievements will be key to your success.
If you’re new to teaching, we’ll help you gain the initial Award in Education and Training and support you to develop your skills, but ideally you will have the skills and qualification to be able to teach Life Skills with a particular focus on creating and engaging with local community projects.

Do you have a passion for data and great organisational skills? We’re looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail, and experience of data management / finance administration.
