Life Skills Tutor – Plymouth (REF 0053)

Salary: £18, 500 – £22,950
Location: Plymouth
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Application Deadline: 13/1/20

We’re looking for experienced tutors/teachers who can inspire, engage, and enable young people to learn new life skills and achieve their goals in our non classroom- based setting.

We need creative and energetic team members to work with learners 1:1 or in very small groups, demonstrating empathy and understanding plus a tenacious attitude and a flexible approach to deliver from Entry Levels to GCSE.

Everything we do is person- centred, so it’s essential to identify how people overcome and manage their barriers in life and learning. We need to be able to demonstrate the good work you do, so good planning and recording learner achievements will be key to your success.

Experience in teaching within the SEN and specialist education market will be an advantage, though we are also keen to bring in fresh ideas! If you know the difference between Growth and Fixed mindsets, can inspire learners to move out of a learning pit, deal with challenging behaviour and can work as part of a team, then we would love to hear from you.
