Catering Tutor / Lead

Salary: £18,500 – £22,950
Location: Paignton (with travel to other sites as required)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Application Deadline: 8/3/20

We’re looking for a tutor who can inspire, train and encourage young people with SEND, and combines a head for business with professional-standard cookery skills.

Our Paignton centre has a lovely new commercial-grade kitchen, and now we need a catering lead / tutor who can make it a happy, healthy hive of activity by working with Post 16 and Adult learners, helping them fulfill their ambitions to work in catering or to improve their nutrition and life skills. We’re also keen to expand our work in the community by helping our learners run the kitchen as an enterprise, so you’ll be working with our community team to build up this business. Your working hours will normally be Monday – Friday between 8.30am and 5.00pm (you may be required to work occasional evenings / at weekend by arrangement).

You’ll need a keen eye for detail and quality, ensuring appropriate documentation and records are kept up-to-date. You’ll also have the drive and ability to try new approaches to teaching and learning, get involved in the local community and really make a difference to people’s lives!

Life Skills Tutor – Plymouth (REF 0053)

Salary: £18, 500 – £22,950
Location: Plymouth
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Application Deadline: 13/2/20

We’re looking for experienced tutors/teachers who can inspire, engage, and enable young people to learn new life skills and achieve their goals in our non classroom- based setting.

We need creative and energetic team members to work with learners 1:1 or in very small groups, demonstrating empathy and understanding plus a tenacious attitude and a flexible approach to deliver from Entry Levels to GCSE.

Experience in teaching within the SEN and specialist education market will be an advantage, though we are also keen to bring in fresh ideas! If you know the difference between Growth and Fixed mindsets, can inspire learners to move out of a learning pit, deal with challenging behaviour and can work as part of a team, then we would love to hear from you.
