Employment & Skills Lead (Ref ETFG0011)

Salary: £25,000 to £32,000per year (pro rata) depending on experience and qualifications

Based:Torbay

Full Time:37.5 hpw

Help us to expand our Employment and Skills programme, growing our business and enabling more people to overcome barriers and achieve their potential.

Key Objectives for this role:
Create and achieve the curriculum plan, including Princes Trust Team programme
Ensure delivery meets the highest standards of quality
Enable learners to progress, overcoming or managing the barriers they face
Engage employers and meet their training and recruitment needs
Support Business Development and bid writing

This is primarily a Sales & Management post that will operate flexibly, to meet the needs of the business and our customers. You will need experience in the education and training sector. This could mean working on assignments that will change from day to day for example:
Developing a quote for an employer to deliver a bespoke training programme
Managing or delivering a training programme on our premises or employer venues on a 1:1 basis or with small groups
Writing a response to an Invitation to Tender for recruitment or training support
Attending regional network meetings to promote our services

Tutor / Mentor – Melksham

Salary: £18,000 to £24,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications

Based: Melksham

Full Time: 37.5 hpw

We’re looking for someone who can inspire, engage, and enable young people to learn new skills and achieve their goals.
We need a creative and energetic team member to work with learners 1:1 or in small groups, demonstrating empathy and understanding plus a tenacious attitude and a flexible approach. Everything we do is person-centred, so it’s essential to identify how people overcome and manage their barriers in life and learning. We need to be able to demonstrate the good work you do, so good planning and recording learner achievements will be key to your success.
If you’re new to teaching, we’ll help you gain the initial Award in Education and Training and support you to develop your skills, but ideally you will already have the skills and qualification to be able to teach. A Maths specialism would be desirable but not essential for the role. This role is subject to references and an enhanced DBS check.

Community Tutor (Employment & Skills Mentor)

Salary Band: £18,000 to £24,000 (d.o.e.)

Location: Paignton (plus other sites as required)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who can work closely with individuals, local community groups and stakeholders to build and maintain a strong and relevant programme of training and activities for people of all ages. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter, with previous experience or an interest in crafts, catering, life-skills and wellbeing. They will be committed to providing an excellent customer experience and able to communicate with people at all levels, including attending meetings and conferences to promote Eat That Frog’s aims, within a network of professional contacts.

This role requires you to have a meticulous attitude to paperwork and reporting, as well as the adaptability to work on assignments that change from day to day, for example:

• Mentoring within Jobcentre Plus or community venues on a 1:1 basis with clients

• Organising and delivering courses in our centres / community venues

• Working with employers to set up work experience or a training package

Building Bridges Mentor – Wiltshire with base in Melksham

Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £18 – 20,000 depending on qualifications and experience

This role is fully funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund as part of the Building Better Opportunities programme and will be solely employed on the programme delivery.

Day to day work will include: Mentoring of Building Bridges participants to identify need and support them to progress into learning, training or work.

We are looking for an experienced mentor who can make a real difference to peoples’ lives in Wiltshire. You will help recruit participants aged 16+ to the Building Bridges programme and deliver effective 1:1 support and action planning to identify and meet participant needs. You will be confident at identifying and developing effective and relevant learning, training, volunteering and work opportunities for the benefit of participants. You will be enthusiastic and proactive in supporting participants to move closer to the labour market through undertaking activities including supported job search, small group work, self-employment / enterprise activities, supporting distance learning.

Salary: £18,500 to £22,950 per year (pro rata) depending on experience and qualifications
