Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO)

 

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum 

Full Time: 37.5 hours pw

Location: Torbay (also required to work at other sites)

We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join our team providing bespoke education for young people and adults.  Do you have a passion to work in education and want to make a real difference for people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

You will work with our teachers and instructors to inspire, engage, and enable young people to learn new life skills and achieve their goals in our non classroom-based settings.  You will act as the main point of contact for each learner and their circle of support (parents, carers, etc) and undertake day-to-day co-ordination of SEND learners’ provisions through close liaison with staff, parents, carers and external agencies. You will co-ordinate and chair annual reviews of learners with an EHCP, liaising effectively with local authority and other stakeholders. 

You will support the identification of and disseminate the most effective teaching approaches for individual learners with SEND (16-25) and LLDD (19+) and work with staff to develop effective ways of bridging barriers to learning. You will be able to collect and interpret specialist assessment data and inform practice. You will have experience in delivery of teaching and learning, with at least 3 years’ experience of working as a SENCO or a similar senior educational role.

You will be able to advise on and contribute to wider staff training, ensuring best practice for SEND learners and support. You will be jointly responsible for ensuring that statutory policies and procedures are followed with regards to safeguarding and the PREVENT duty.

Centre Manager – Newton Abbot

 

Salary: £26,000 to £29,500 per annum 

Full Time: 37.5 hours pw

Location: Newton Abbot

Do you want to be at the heart of your community, offering ways for young people and adults to overcome their barriers? As an ETF Centre Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of one of our training centres, as well as helping develop your staff, seeking future business opportunities and enhancing community engagement and participation.

Ideal for a teacher / trainer with internal verification experience, you will ideally also have experience in a managerial role. You will be responsible for the quality of teaching, learning and assessment within your training centre, as well as administration and compliance. This role is key to enabling clear and concise communication between the centre staff and our senior management team, so you will need excellent attention to detail, and be confident using a range of online systems for recording, monitoring and presenting data.

Salary: £17,500 – £22,500

We are recruiting an enthusiastic and dynamic HR Officer to join our team and provide a top quality service to staff across all of our Education and Training centres. 

We’re looking for someone with excellent administrative skills, who will offer timely and efficient support to Senior Management and Directors, across a wide range of HR tasks including recruitment, training and development, performance monitoring and employee well-being.

You’ll have a keen eye for detail, ensuring appropriate documentation and records are created in accordance with company policy and legal requirements, and will be able to set-up and maintain effective processes. Importantly, you will also need excellent communication skills and be a real ‘people person’!

Youth Hub & Volunteer Coordinator

 

Salary: £19,500 to £22,500 (fixed term to 31st March 2021)

Full Time: 37.5 hours pw 

Location: Torquay (also working in Totnes, Newton Abbot & Paignton)

We need a super-organised individual who can provide full administrative support for our Youth Hub project and help recruit, motivate and track the progress of volunteers across the company. 

You will have meticulous attention to detail, ensuring current and accurate information is maintained for all Youth Hub participants and Eat That Frog volunteers, meeting company, contract, legal and requirements. You will work closely with our Finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting and invoicing for the Youth Hub.

You will have a friendly and professional manner, as you will be first point of contact for all Youth Hub and volunteer queries. We regard volunteering as a vital stepping-stone for people to gain skills in their journey towards paid work, and so you will support with the development and operation of a community-focused, time-limited volunteer programme within Eat That Frog. 

This role is fixed-term until March 2021.

Youth Project Worker

 

Salary: £19,500 to £22,500 (fixed term to 31st March 2021)

Full Time: 37.5 hours pw 

Location: Paignton (also working in Totnes, Newton Abbot & Torquay)

Can you inspire and motivate young people to overcome significant barriers in their lives? We’re looking for a dynamic Youth Worker, preferably with experience of resolving local housing issues, who can support unemployed or economically inactive 16 to 25 year olds in small teams or individually. You will identify and address any obstacles and help them develop a range of employability and life skills such as confidence, emotional resilience, communication, planning, organisation and presentation 

You will provide dedicated support with housing applications, tenancy skills, budgeting and independent living, finding practical solutions to keep young people housed.

You will have excellent record-keeping skills, completing administration and financial recording relating to Eat That Frog’s delivery of the Youth Hub Project in an accurate and timely fashion. 

This role is fixed-term until March 2021.

Directed by our SENCO and the learner’s Teacher, you will work with an individual learner. As their area of vocational study is light vehicle maintenance, an interest and / or experience in this area is desirable. There is a requirement to travel to Plymouth on 2 of these days, for which mileage will be paid. 

You will support teachers and instructors with the monitoring and delivery of the learner’s Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and life skills and enable work and recreation opportunities for the learner within our community projects.

English Instructor – Paignton (2 roles available)

 

Salary: £20,000 to £22,500 (Being the pro-rata amount for term time only)

Full Time: 37.5 hours pw (term time only)

Location: Paignton

This is an un-qualified teacher role, offering you a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and work to achieve your qualified teacher status. With support from qualified teachers and managers you will deliver a high-quality education and ensure positive outcomes for our SEND learners – creating resources, plans, assessments and projects to inspire them.
