Supported Internships
The transition from education to employment presents unique challenges for young people with additional learning needs. The programme represents an innovative approach to bridging the gap between education and meaningful employment.
Our Supported internships are for individuals aged 16 – 24 in South Devon who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
What is a supported internship?
Eat That Frog operates as a specialist provider of supported internships, focusing on developing real-world employability skills within authentic workplace environments. We partner with local businesses to create structured learning opportunities that benefit both participants and employers.
A supported internship is a structured work-based learning programme for young people aged 16-24 with an Education, Health & Care Plan. (EHCP)
Interns will:
- Spend 16 hrs a week with a work placement
- Still be considered in full time education
- Build real work skills whilst helping businesses
- Receive tapered supported by designated Job Coaches
It’s a flexible, fully-supported partnership where we match the right young person to the right role.
The supported internship programme combines practical work experience with tailored coaching support, enabling participants to develop confidence, technical skills, and workplace behaviours essential for long-term career success.
