We are absolutely delighted to announce that Eat That Frog has been named ‘Not for Profit of the Year’ at the 2026 Newton Abbot Business & Community Awards!
After being shortlisted for the award in August, our Newton Abbot team were thrilled to be announced as the winners at the awards ceremony on Friday 11 September 2026, held at Newton Abbot Rugby Club.
The evening brought together businesses, organisations and community groups from across Newton Abbot to celebrate the people making a positive difference in the local area.
Guests enjoyed food and drinks before the awards ceremony, followed by an after-party to continue the celebrations.
Our Newton Abbot Centre Manager, Rosie, attended the ceremony on behalf of Eat That Frog and was absolutely thrilled when our name was announced as the winner in our category.
Rosie said:
“I’m really proud of all the staff’s contribution to this award. It was really unexpected, the team work so hard.”
The award is a fantastic recognition of the dedication and commitment shown every day by our Newton Abbot team.
Our Newton Abbot centre provides specialist Post-16 education, supporting young people to develop their independence, confidence, life skills and employability while working towards their individual goals and aspirations.
Every learner is different, and our team work hard to provide personalised support that helps young people overcome barriers, recognise their strengths and prepare for the next stage of their lives.
Winning Not for Profit of the Year in Newton Abbot is particularly special because it recognises not only the work taking place within our centre, but the contribution our staff and learners make to the wider community.
At Eat That Frog, we are passionate about creating opportunities for young people and adults and helping people to realise their potential. Awards like this are a wonderful opportunity to recognise the people behind that work – the tutors, support staff, managers and wider teams who continually go above and beyond for the people we support.
While this award belongs to our fantastic Newton Abbot team, we are incredibly proud of our colleagues across Newton Abbot, Paignton, Torquay, Exeter and Plymouth, who share the same commitment to helping people move forward in education, employment and life.
A huge thank you and congratulations to Rosie and the whole Newton Abbot team for everything they do.
We would also like to thank everyone involved in the Newton Abbot Business & Community Awards, as well as everyone who nominated, supported and recognised the work of Eat That Frog.
