Eat That Frog is proud of its dynamic careers programme, which starts preparing learners for life after learning as soon as possible.
The Gatsby Benchmark
The Gatsby Benchmark is the set of requirements that CEIAG must now meet.
Learners need to learn to believe in themselves and their abilities in order to succeed in today’s competitive job market and in life. All students should have ready access to high-quality, unbiased Careers Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG).

The Gatsby Benchmarks are a set of eight criteria for quality career education in secondary and tertiary institutions. They serve as the foundation upon which the Careers Plan rests, guaranteeing high-quality career education in schools.
Learning milestones and outcomes
(Sept – Dec)
- Preparation for Adulthood (PFA) goals
- Initial careers guidance and goal setting through careers, education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG)
- Interaction with employers and training providers
- Introduction to work experience

- Set termly PfA goals: CEIAG and individual curriculum plan
- Begin to explore future pathways to include access to local labour market information.
- (Careers and Employability Week): 9th - 13th Nov
- - For learners, parents and carers
- - Interaction with employers, training providers and work coaches

- - Introduction to transition planning: apprenticeship, supported internship, training and supported employment opportunities.

(Jan to Mar)
- Continued development of PfA goals
- Careers guidance session (CEIAG) Exploration of career pathways in more depth
- Vocational Profiling
- Work Experience
- Interaction with employers and training providers
