✈️ Futures took flight to their first trip abroad!

As part of a scheme set up and funded by the DfE and hosted by Eat That Frog CIC, our learners had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience life, learning and independence in the sunny Gran Canaria!

They started the week working with residents at a local care home, before visiting iconic spots like Vegueta, el Pico de las Nieves, and Arucas.

Other work experience included both a coffee and a banana plantation, where learners rolled their sleeves up and got busy weeding, while also learning about banana and coffee cultivation. 🍌

What’s a trip without some baby goats? 🐐 They really enjoyed feeding and playing with farm animals, and even tried their hand at cheese-making. The fun continued with lively karaoke sessions and amusement rides.

It gets even better – they raced to the end of the trip with an exhilarating game of go-karting. For one of our learners, this was their first time ever travelling abroad – and what an adventure it was!

They had the best time and returned home with the most amazing memories. ❤️

A huge thanks to Eat That Frog and the Turing Project for making this incredible experience possible.
